Copper prices slipped as persistent U.S. inflation strengthens expectations for higher-for-longer interest rates and weaker risk appetite pressures sentiment. The three-month LME copper contract fell 0.2% to $14,327 a ton, while tight concentrate supply, smelter losses and declining domestic inventories offer underlying support. Copper could remain range-bound as macroeconomic headwinds limit gains but supply constraints help cushion downside.
Iron ore prices fell in early Asian trading as weak Chinese steel demand and abundant supply weighed on the market. China's molten iron production remains relatively low with limited near-term recovery expected, while the most-active January Dalian iron ore contract dropped 0.6% to CNY676.0 a ton. Continued demand weakness and high shipments could keep iron ore prices under pressure, although slow port-stock accumulation may provide some support.
Palm oil prices climbed on expectations of tighter supplies next year, supported by El Niño-related weather risks and stronger Indonesian biodiesel demand.
January palm oil futures on Bursa Malaysia rose 22 ringgit to 4,638 ringgit per ton, although technical analysis indicates bearish momentum could persist.
Potential supply constraints and stronger biodiesel demand could support further price gains, but lingering bearish momentum may limit the upside.
Vietnam's official USD/VND midpoint stood at 25,637 on October 30, while unofficial market rates reached as high as 26,070, highlighting a gap between official and parallel exchange rates.
Interbank USD/VND was quoted at 25,806/25,809, while SJC gold prices stood at 138.4–141.4 million dong per tael.
The persistent gap between official and unofficial exchange rates could signal continued pressure on the Vietnamese dong and keep attention on domestic currency and gold markets.
Japanese rubber futures fell to a one-month low and headed for a third consecutive weekly loss as improving weather in Thailand raised expectations of increased supply while downstream demand remained subdued.
The Osaka Exchange April contract dropped 0.25% to 443.9 yen per kg, while the Shanghai January contract declined 0.21% to 19,230 yuan per metric ton.
Improving Thai weather and weak demand could maintain downward pressure on rubber futures, although historically high raw material prices and tight global supply may limit further declines.
Global markets turned risk-off, with Asian equities falling sharply and US stocks sliding as investors reassessed massive AI spending and disappointing big-tech earnings. South Korea's Kospi dropped nearly 5%, the Nasdaq fell 1.37%, and Brent crude surged above $115 per barrel amid renewed US-Iran military tensions. Rising oil prices and inflation concerns could increase pressure on global equities, particularly technology stocks, while raising uncertainty around future Fed rate decisions.
Indonesia's refined tin exports fell 18.04% year over year to 3,970.25 metric tons in September 2026, signaling a significant decline in overseas shipments. Monthly exports also dropped from 4,804.30 metric tons in August, reversing the previous month's increase. Continued weakness in Indonesian tin exports could tighten global supply and support tin prices if the decline persists.
Asian stocks tumbled as Alphabet's disappointing search revenue growth triggered a broad technology selloff, intensifying concerns over AI profitability and investment returns.
Nasdaq futures fell 2.4%, South Korea's Kospi plunged 5.2%, and Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix dropped 5.5% and 9.0%, respectively; Brent crude forecasts were raised to $105 per barrel by ANZ Research.
Continued scrutiny of AI profitability could intensify pressure on technology stocks, while persistent Middle East supply constraints may keep oil prices elevated.
Gold and silver extended their correction on Friday, with both precious metals trading lower as investors weighed US interest-rate uncertainty and geopolitical tensions.
Gold futures fell 0.35% to $4,017.30 per ounce, while silver dropped 1.61% to $51.535; central banks purchased 863 tonnes of gold in 2025 and another 289 tonnes in Q2 2026.
Continued central-bank demand could support gold over the longer term, but elevated interest-rate expectations and inflation uncertainty may keep precious metals under pressure.
Bitcoin is outperforming the S&P 500 on more trading days in October, but persistent selling pressure and weak demand continue to prevent a sustained breakout above $85,000. ETF inflows have largely reversed, while long-term holders controlling approximately 4 million BTC bought between $85,000 and $118,000 could create significant selling resistance. Improving accumulation by wallets holding 100 to 1,000 BTC and declining volatility could support stabilization, but Bitcoin may remain range-bound until ETF demand strengthens and the $85,000 resistance is cleared.
Asian equities extended their technology selloff as disappointing U.S. corporate earnings intensified concerns that massive AI investments may not deliver sufficient returns, sending South Korea's Kospi down 3.96%. Nasdaq 100 futures fell 1.5%, while Intel plunged 23% after its revenue forecast missed expectations and Amazon dropped 7.3% in extended trading. Continued doubts about AI profitability could deepen pressure on technology stocks, although rising geopolitical risks may support further gains in crude oil.
Asian equities tumbled as Alphabet’s disappointing search revenue growth triggered a broad technology selloff, wiping $500 billion from its market value on Thursday. South Korea’s Kospi plunged 5.2%, Nasdaq futures fell 2.4%, and SK Hynix dropped 9.0%, while Brent crude climbed 1.0% to $116 per barrel. Continued pressure on AI-related valuations could intensify global equity volatility, while persistent Middle East supply constraints may keep oil prices elevated.
Spot gold fell below the $4,000-per-ounce round-number level and was reported at $3,997.93, down 0.58% intraday.
The break places the $4,000 threshold back in focus for traders. The reported move does not identify a catalyst or confirm a broader trend reversal. Near-term attention is on whether gold reclaims $4,000 or whether selling extends below the level.
PAXG and XAUT are tokenized-gold assets listed in the supplied market context.
Lookonchain monitoring cited by PANews reported that Huang Licheng (@machibigbrother) was liquidated 8 times over the past 6 hours.
All positions in his Hyperliquid account were closed, leaving a balance of $1.50. The reported event concerns the HYPE-linked Hyperliquid trading venue. No market-wide catalyst or broader derivatives stress indicator was provided in the source.
Vietnamese rice export prices climbed to their highest level since January 2025, as thin domestic supplies and potential production disruptions raised concerns about exporters meeting demand.
Vietnamese 5% broken rice rose to $470-$480 per metric ton from $440-$450 a week earlier, while Indian export prices remained broadly unchanged near multiyear highs.
Expected Philippine buying from next month and potential El Niño-related production losses could push rice prices higher and intensify global supply pressures.
Gold is holding near $4,000 an ounce as persistent inflation strengthens expectations for a potential Federal Reserve rate hike before year-end.
US PCE inflation rose 0.5%, its largest increase since March, while gold has fallen more than 3% in October and remains vulnerable to equity-market liquidations.
Further inflation pressure and rising rate-hike expectations could keep gold under pressure, although dip-buying from Chinese households and long-term investors may provide support.
U.S. Treasury yields moved lower across the curve, with the 10-year yield falling 8.5 basis points to a seven-week low of 4.902%.
The two-year Treasury yield declined 8.7 basis points to a seven-week low of 4.5648%. Federal funds rate futures rose as traders reduced their expectations for additional Federal Reserve tightening, though the implied probability of a December rate increase remains around 70%.
The divergence between lower Treasury yields and still-material December hike odds keeps incoming inflation and labor data central to the rate outlook. The development is relevant to duration-sensitive equities and risk assets, including NAS100, SPX500 and XAU.
Major U.S. indices closed lower Thursday. The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 0.25% to 52,342.56. Amazon, SanDisk, Reddit, Rivian and Intel were identified as stocks on investors' radars, but the supplied context provided no company-specific price moves, catalysts, trading volumes or financial results.
Gold prices weakened as accelerating US inflation reinforced expectations of further Federal Reserve rate hikes, reducing bullion's appeal. Spot gold fell 0.4% to $4,006.06 per ounce after dropping more than 1% in the previous session, while markets priced in a 75% probability of a December Fed rate increase. Persistent inflation and rising interest-rate expectations could intensify downside pressure on gold by increasing the opportunity cost of holding non-yielding bullion.
US gasoline futures fell below $3.10 per gallon, hovering near their lowest levels since late August as rising inventories and weakening demand pressure prices. EIA data showed an unexpected 3.8 million-barrel inventory build, while gasoline supplied dropped 624,000 barrels per day to 8.36 million bpd. Continued inventory growth and weaker consumption could keep gasoline prices under pressure, although refinery maintenance and geopolitical supply risks may limit further declines.
SK Hynix fell more than 8%, while Samsung Electronics declined more than 5%, with the two memory-chip leaders weakening in tandem.
The moves bring attention to risk appetite across the semiconductor chain. Key areas to monitor are whether weakness extends to equipment suppliers, materials companies and AI hardware, alongside memory prices, demand expectations and company guidance.
Chicago wheat futures remain on track for a ninth consecutive weekly decline, despite stronger US exports and renewed interest from Chinese buyers. US wheat export sales reached a marketing-year high of 849,800 metric tons, but prices remain down 2.8% for the week and nearly 25% below September highs. Strong export demand could slow the decline, although potentially rising Black Sea shipments and continued supply pressure may keep wheat prices under pressure.
Strategy reported $19.53 billion in Q3 2026 net income, largely driven by $20.91 billion in digital asset gains, while disclosing approximately $431.8 million in Bitcoin sales year-to-date. The company still holds 848,517 BTC, up 26% year-to-date, after purchasing $14.33 billion worth of Bitcoin during 2026. Continued Bitcoin accumulation despite limited sales could support institutional confidence, although dividend funding and share repurchases introduce potential selling pressure.
Despite a fourth consecutive year of expected global supply surplus, lead's underlying market is tightening as inventories decline and China sharply increases imports. LME lead inventories have fallen from 502,600 to 407,000 tons since March, while Chinese refined lead imports surged to 175,000 tons in the first nine months of 2026 from 24,000 tons a year earlier. Falling inventories, stronger Chinese demand and potential AI data center consumption could challenge bearish positioning and support a lead price recovery.

At 04:38, Machii reopened about 100 ETH long at $2,301.6. A further 36 ETH was liquidated between 04:43 and 04:47. The source reports six liquidation events overnight totaling about 456 ETH and an actual loss of about $26,400. It also states that the account held 475 ETH with a $2,314 liquidation price the previous morning.
Lean hog futures rebounded on bargain-buying after December contracts hit a life-of-contract low, although persistent supply pressure and weak wholesale pork prices continued to weigh on the market.
December hog futures closed up 1.225 cents at 59.825 cents per pound, while USDA pork carcass prices fell to their lowest level since December 2020; weekly US pork export sales increased 24% from the prior four-week average.
Improving export demand and cheaper pork relative to beef could support a recovery, but abundant supplies and seasonal weakness may continue to pressure hog futures.
Binance is investigating a potential security breach after $2.54 billion in cryptocurrency assets were frozen, with major stablecoin issuers and crypto firms coordinating efforts to contain the incident.
Tether froze nearly $1.57 billion, Circle froze more than $800 million, and Ripple froze roughly $200 million, while Binance said it would cover all hacking losses and that user funds remained safe.
The incident could intensify scrutiny of centralized exchange security and increase pressure on the broader crypto industry as investigations continue.
Oil prices rebound in early Asian trading as uncertainty surrounding U.S.-Iran peace efforts and renewed Middle East tensions keep energy markets on edge.
Brent crude rises 0.5% to $115.44 per barrel, while WTI gains 0.8% to $102.79, with traders weighing the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz against potential military escalation.
Continued geopolitical uncertainty and threats to critical energy infrastructure could keep oil prices elevated and intensify volatility in crude markets.
Arbitrum’s Security Council has successfully rescued 74,559,805 ARB and 8,425 ETH linked to the Binance exploit, transferring the stolen funds into an intermediary frozen wallet.
The funds are no longer accessible to the original address and can only be moved through further Security Council action or an Arbitrum DAO governance vote.
The intervention could limit losses from the exploit while raising the importance of emergency governance powers and security controls across DeFi.
Binance's reported ETH reserves have fallen to approximately 94% of customer liabilities after hackers stole roughly 204,500 ETH worth around $442 million from wallets backing customer assets.
The stolen funds represented approximately 5.6% of Binance's ETH reserves, while Tether, Circle, and Ripple froze portions of the stolen assets.
The November 1 reserve snapshot could reveal whether Binance has replenished its stolen assets and restored full customer backing.
Binance will fully cover all losses resulting from the hacking incident, according to co-founder Yi He.
Deposits and withdrawals have been temporarily suspended while Binance conducts security checks, freezes funds, and cooperates with law enforcement.
The incident could temporarily undermine confidence in Binance and intensify scrutiny of exchange security, although the commitment to reimburse users may limit concerns over fund losses.
The TE Crack Spread Index dropped to 50.16 points, its lowest level since August 2026. The index declined 22.09% over the past four weeks despite remaining up 99.12% over the last 12 months. Continued weakness could signal further pressure on refining margins and related energy-market sentiment.
Circle and ACI Worldwide announced a collaboration to test USDC settlement integration into existing payment operations through a pilot in Colombia. The demonstration uses ACI Connetic alongside Circle's USDC infrastructure, targeting integration with established institutional and account-to-account payment systems. Successful adoption could expand USDC's role in cross-border payments, although broader production rollout and measurable transaction benefits remain unproven.
Oil futures declined as a U.S. diplomatic push toward renewed negotiations with Iran eased some concerns over Middle East supply disruptions. December WTI crude fell 0.7% to $102.00 per barrel, while Brent slipped 0.4% to $114.88; Houthi militants claimed attacks on Saudi oil facilities, though Saudi officials have not confirmed them. Continued diplomatic progress could pressure crude prices, but renewed military escalation and supply disruptions may quickly reverse the decline.
Arkham data shows 66 Binance hacker-linked addresses holding approximately $5.88 billion in crypto assets, including 18,270 BTC and 466,622 ETH. Binance has confirmed that $2.54 billion in assets linked to the hack has been frozen, with recovery efforts potentially increasing that amount. Continued recovery could improve asset recovery prospects, while the massive holdings highlight the scale of funds associated with the addresses.
Bitcoin fell below the $78,000 level and was quoted at $77,964.65, down 4.13% over the past 24 hours, according to market data cited by Jinse Finance.
The move puts a major round-number BTC threshold back in focus as the source described market volatility as elevated. The reported decline and break below $78,000 are the key confirmed market developments; no additional trading-volume, flow, or liquidation data were provided.
HYPE broke above $90 and was quoted at $90.07, with a 24-hour gain of 11.57%.
The move places the $90 level in focus as a near-term breakout threshold. The supplied market update also noted elevated price volatility, while the key question is whether HYPE can sustain trading above $90 after the move.
Japanese stocks face potential declines ahead of the Bank of Japan's rate decision, with Nikkei futures already down 1.2% as investors turn cautious.
The weakness follows an overnight Alphabet share selloff, while the dollar trades at 157.72 yen ahead of the BOJ policy announcement and domestic earnings updates.
Uncertainty surrounding the BOJ's decision could intensify volatility in Japanese equities and the yen.
Intel fell more than 20% in after-hours trading after issuing Q4 guidance that was far below expectations. The company also faced an explosion at an Israel plant, weak PC demand, and constrained AI chip supply.
The broader US equity backdrop weakened: the Nasdaq fell 1.4%, the S&P 500 ended a three-session winning streak, and cloud-service stocks broadly declined. Amazon reported Q3 net sales of $201.9 billion, below expectations, while EPS fell 3% year-on-year to $1.89. Its capital spending reached $77.26 billion, above expectations, and free cash flow was negative for a second consecutive quarter.
US September PCE inflation rose 3.6% year-on-year, the highest since May, while core PCE rose to 3.1%. The personal saving rate fell to its lowest level since October 2022. Third-quarter real GDP grew at a 3.4% annualized quarter-on-quarter rate, the highest in a year and above expectations; business investment rose 12.7%, the strongest increase since 2020.
The Bank of Japan is expected to announce its rate decision on Friday, with rates expected to remain unchanged.
The WTI/Brent price discount narrowed as escalating Houthi attacks on Saudi oil infrastructure heightened concerns over global crude supply, despite weakness in US and Brent futures. Houthi forces claimed attacks on three Saudi oil facilities without immediate Saudi confirmation, while December Brent fell 44 cents to $114.88 and WTI dropped 78 cents to $102.00 per barrel. Continued attacks could intensify supply uncertainty and support crude prices, although ample Middle East supplies and weaker Asian demand could limit gains.
CME FedWatch data reported on October 30 show a 74.9% probability that the Federal Reserve will raise rates by 25 basis points in December, versus a 25.1% probability of no change.
For January, the data assign a 17.1% probability of rates remaining unchanged, a 58.9% probability of cumulative 25 basis points of hikes, and a 24.1% probability of cumulative 50 basis points of hikes. The repricing centers on both the next Fed decision and the potential duration of tightening, with relevance for risk assets including NAS100, SPX500 and XAU.

The Singapore bank highlighted round-the-clock money movement and improved liquidity management as key drivers, while more than three quarters of respondents expect AI to improve treasury and payment operations over the next two years.
The findings could strengthen demand for tokenized deposits and stablecoin settlement infrastructure, although widespread adoption and measurable transaction volumes remain unproven.
Polymarket confirmed that a third-party provider was compromised in an incident linked to around $2.65 million in POL associated with a suspected attacker, according to Arkham data.
The platform temporarily moved to cancel-only mode, pausing new trades during its investigation. Polymarket later said the issue had been fixed, the platform was back online, and the matter had been referred to law enforcement.
Polymarket says all affected traders will be fully reimbursed. The incident places focus on third-party provider security, risk isolation, and the execution of reimbursements after the platform’s return to service.
US wheat futures rebounded from a four-month low as strong export sales and reports of Chinese buying interest boosted market sentiment.
US weekly wheat export sales reached a marketing-year high of 849,800 metric tons, exceeding expectations of 200,000–500,000 tons, while December CBOT wheat settled up 4.75 cents at $6.03¾ per bushel.
Potential Chinese purchases and substantial speculative short positions could fuel further wheat gains through additional short covering, while record US soybean harvest prospects continue to pressure soybeans.
Tether, Circle and Ripple have frozen more than $2.38 billion in cryptocurrency following a potential security breach involving Binance.
Tether froze nearly $1.57 billion, Circle froze over $800 million, and Ripple reportedly froze approximately $200 million as Binance investigates the incident.
The massive asset freezes could intensify concerns about centralized exchange security and increase uncertainty across cryptocurrency markets.
World Liberty Financial said $27 million in USD1 and 48 million WLFI, valued at about $2 million, have been frozen. Withdrawals are currently disabled while the security environment is reviewed and confirmed secure.
The stated priority is containment, with the freeze intended to limit further movement of the affected assets. The key operational development is the status of withdrawals, which will remain paused until the security review is complete. The team said user funds are SAFU.
Nasdaq futures fell 1.4% in early Asia-Pacific trading on Friday, while Intel dropped 21.6% in U.S. after-hours trading.
The weakness extended across major technology, semiconductor and cloud-linked names: Pinterest fell 9.7%, AMD declined 5.9%, Nebius dropped 5.8%, Amazon fell 5.7%, SK Hynix ADRs declined 5.2%, and SanDisk fell 3.4%. Oracle, Qualcomm and Seagate Technology were each down more than 3%.
The moves put the AI hardware, semiconductor and megacap earnings narratives in focus. Intel’s after-hours decline is the largest named move, while AMD, memory-related stocks and cloud-exposed companies are key read-through names as U.S. cash trading approaches.
An unverified social-media post claims that $5.6 billion was stolen in a crypto theft and cites Bitcoin at $79,000.
The claim provides no identified victim, attack vector, transaction records, or official confirmation. The reported theft amount and the Bitcoin price reference require verification through primary sources and on-chain data before they can be treated as established facts.
Self-custody platform Bron has joined the Hashgraph Association’s Global Membership Program, adding another participant to Hedera’s ecosystem growth efforts.
Bron already supports HBAR and Hedera-based digital assets, while the association’s program connects members with enterprises, developers and technical resources.
The development could support HBAR adoption over time, but measurable wallet usage and concrete integrations will be key to determining its market impact.
US real GDP grew at a 3.4% annualized quarterly rate in the third quarter, accelerating from 2.2% in the second quarter and exceeding the 3.2% forecast, according to preliminary Bureau of Economic Analysis data.
AI-related capital expenditure and resilient household spending were key growth drivers. Business equipment investment made its largest contribution to GDP growth since 2011 excluding the post-pandemic period, with spending directed toward AI infrastructure, computing equipment and related technology. Personal consumption expenditure grew at a 3.8% annualized rate for a second consecutive quarter.
Inflation data released alongside GDP underscored the policy tension. The September PCE price index rose 0.5% month over month, its largest increase in six months, and 3.6% year over year, up from 3.4% in August. Core PCE rose 0.3% month over month and 3.1% year over year.
September nominal personal spending rose 0.5%, down from 0.9% in August, while real personal spending was unchanged. The Federal Reserve had held its target range at 3.75% to 4.00% one day earlier, with a 10-2 vote; two dissenting officials favored a 25-basis-point increase. Additional employment, spending and inflation data are due before the Fed’s December meeting.
Aave froze its credit markets to prevent a hacker from borrowing additional assets, according to the source. Tether and Circle also froze funds within 10 minutes.
The coordinated response highlights two layers of containment during an exploit: protocol-level lending-market freezes that can halt further borrowing, and issuer-level action that can restrict movement of compromised stablecoin funds. The immediate focus is whether the containment measures hold and whether affected Aave markets reopen normally.
The event keeps protocol security, governance response speed, and the role of centralized stablecoin issuer intervention in focus for the Aave ecosystem.

West African crude oil differentials remained subdued as a 40-point increase in VLCC freight rates weighed on market activity. No fresh offers were reported, while exports of four key Nigerian crude grades are expected to average 888,000 barrels per day in December, up from 874,000 bpd in November. Higher shipping costs and rising Nigerian export volumes could continue to pressure crude differentials, although the impact will depend on market demand and trading activity.

The facility could strengthen institutional crypto credit markets if disciplined underwriting, collateral protections, and repayment performance hold up under stress.
API3's Primary Proposal is now open for voting, seeking to permanently end new token issuance at a supply cap of 200,000,000 API3. The proposal also calls for retiring the Aragon DAO and moving governance to Snapshot, with both changes dependent on the vote passing. If approved, the emissions cap could reduce future token supply growth and support a bullish outlook for API3.
